Shopping for a car dealer in Avon Park, FL? Huston Automotive Group has two of them on the same block of US Hwy 27 S. At 1600 you'll find Huston CDJR, our Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM dealership, and next door at 1650 is Huston Chevrolet, our Chevy dealership. Five brands under two roofs means you can drive a Silverado and a RAM 1500 back to back, or put a Jeep Grand Cherokee next to a Chevy Traverse, without leaving town.
Getting around Avon Park mostly means US 27/US 98, the main highway that runs about 23 miles north to Lake Wales and 10 miles south to Sebring. State Road 17 runs through the middle of town as Main Street, and SR 64 heads west toward Zolfo Springs and Hardee County. Add in the lakes that ring the city, including Lake Verona, Lake Tulane, and Lake Isis, and plenty of local drivers want a truck that can tow a boat on Saturday and handle the US 27 commute on Monday.
Both Avon Park stores belong to the same family-owned group that has served Central Florida since 1974. You can read the Huston family story to see how we work. In short: clear pricing, no pressure, and the same people when you come back for service. When you're after a GMC, Buick, or Cadillac, our Lake Wales store at 21500 Hwy 27 is a straight drive north through Frostproof.

New & Used Cars, Trucks & SUVs in Avon Park, FL — A Local Buyer's Guide
Huston's two Avon Park stores sit on US 27, the main highway through this part of Highlands County. That makes them an easy drive for shoppers looking for a car dealership near Sebring, about 10 miles south. If you need a work truck, see our page on RAM trucks for Sebring-area drivers. It covers the RAM 1500 and Heavy Duty lineup sold at Huston CDJR.
Avon Park traces its start to 1884, when Connecticut native Oliver Martin Crosby settled here, and the town was named after Stratford-upon-Avon in England. It's the oldest city in Highlands County, and locals know it as the "City of Charm." Downtown, the Main Street Mall is a landscaped promenade that runs about a mile from US 27 to Lake Verona. Along the way you'll pass the Hotel Jacaranda, which was built in the 1920s, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is now a South Florida State College facility. The college's main campus is also in Avon Park, so plenty of local drivers commute to class or work every day. A fuel-efficient Trax, Equinox, or Jeep Compass suits that drive, and so do the used SUVs we keep on the lot.
Want a GMC Sierra, a Buick Enclave, or a Cadillac Escalade? Take US 27 north through Frostproof to our Lake Wales store at 21500 Hwy 27, about 25 miles from Avon Park. To see all three brands in one place, visit our GMC, Buick and Cadillac dealer page for Polk County. Whichever store has the vehicle you want, you'll deal with the same family-owned group.
