Haines City calls itself the "Heart of Florida," and the location explains a lot about how people here drive. US 17/92 runs through downtown as Hinson Avenue, US 27 carries traffic north to Interstate 4, and from there Orlando lies one way and Tampa the other. Daily commuters tend to want a comfortable, efficient ride from our lineup of new SUVs, like a GMC Terrain, a Buick Envista, or a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Contractors and anyone towing on weekends usually look at new pickup trucks like the GMC Sierra HD or RAM 2500.
The town began in the 1880s as a railroad stop called Clay Cut. According to city records, early residents agreed to rename it after Colonel Henry Haines, a railroad official, to get a depot built, and citrus became the town's main industry. Huston has its own long history in Central Florida, serving drivers here as a family-owned dealer group since 1974, and a Haines City customer gets the same no-pressure process at any Huston rooftop.
